I had thoughts of killing you today.

manbartlett: Dear MTA Service Change Poster Announcement Designer: I know you’ve probably heard this before, but we need to talk. Maybe you’re overworked. Under-payed? Maybe this isn’t in your primary job function? Maybe this is beneath you? Above you? Maybe you’re just too close to the system? Maybe you’ve been making these for too many years to see them with fresh eyes? Yes? No? Either way, we’re here to help! I bet we can all work together to come up with a design that is actually understandable. To a human being. Who hasn’t lived here a couple years. We are one of the greatest cities in the world, if not *the* greatest, surely we’re not lacking the talent! So, New York/world/tumblr, can we please create a contest, or something, to design a better format for these? Like what the city did for the parking signs. That was an improvement! I’d be willing to put down $100 towards the prize, as a start. I’d also be willing to spend hours wading through submissions to then present to the MTA. Any takers? I haven’t told anyone just yet… so you’re the first to know tumblr.

There’s a good chance I will be moving away to Vermont. Anywhere from the next 5 months to a year. I’m trying to work out the details, and it’s still a plan that has no concreteness… but the possibility is there. I have a friend who wants to go with me, and she grew up there, and knows tons of folks within the community of Burlington. The people there just may be more my flavor, it may feel more like home and with her by my side I think i’d be fine with taking that gamble, and starting my “adult” life there.

Shhhh…. don’t tell anyone, or you might jinx it.

Martyr for a lost cause.

I feel so alone tonight… I wish romance wasn’t dead… but it seems it is. Maybe I’ll get lucky in my old age, till then I’m going to cradle this loneliness with my own two hands. Because no one I’ve met knows how to care enough to attempt to take it away.

I’m happier with certain aspects of my life. But I feel so jaded at the moment. Looking back as all this rain falls and I’m melancholic. For I’ve wasted too much time on people who have simply failed to reciprocate my affections. Right now, I’m feeling the sting of it all.
